State Fair of Texas Fishing Trip

Gear UP! Jesus said He would make us fishers of men!

For the last 15 years or so, I have been partnering with a ministry that mans a booth at the State Fair of Texas. Different churches and teams volunteer to cover different days, donating their time and resources. I have signed up for Friday, October 2nd, and will be there from 9:00 AM until closing (around 9:00 or 10:00 PM). I am looking for a few good men to join me (though none are really good without Christ)!

The booth is called "The Million Dollar Eye Test." We hand out million-dollar bill Gospel Tracts and Ten Commandment coins to engage people in spiritual conversations—much like Jesus did with the woman at the well. We start in the natural realm and then gently swing the conversation to the spiritual.

The Details:

Flexible Shifts: It is a long day, but half-day shifts are an option.

Perks: I can get free tickets for workers, and possibly free parking for a vehicle or two if we ride-share.

Preparation: I will provide training and "Eye Test" materials to help you overcome any fears.

Food & Drink: We will have water available, but feel free to bring your own drinks to put on ice. Turkey legs and corny dogs are on you!

The real goal here is to equip believers to develop a lifestyle of sharing the Gospel "as we go" day by day. This is a great opportunity to flex what you have been learning in the Men's Alliance Ministry!
