What do you think is at the end of this journey we are on? What do you think is out there after you die? Reincarnation? Nothing? "I don't know?"? Heaven? Hell? What is out there?
We are all on a death march. Our days are numbered. We don’t know the day. The younger you are, the end seems farther away. But tragically, we know the grim truth that death can seize us at any second. 150,000 people die every day, and most are not expecting death nor are they prepared to die and stand in God's judgment.
Hebrews 9.27 And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment,
On your day of judgment, how will you be judged, innocent or guilty?
Hebrews 4:13 … all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
Luke 12.4-5 “Dear friends, don’t be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot do any more to you after that. But I’ll tell you whom to fear. Fear God, who has the power to kill you and then throw you into hell. Yes, he’s the one to fear.
He knows everything we have done. He knows every secret thought and every one of our secret sins. There are things that we think are no big deal because everyone is doing it, but these seemingly little things are sins to God that is so pure and Holy.
Nothing we have done, said, or thought is hidden from Him.
Have you done anything wrong? Have you ever sinned? Have you ever broken God's law?
Go through the Good Person Test video and see how you do. Have you ever lied? Stolen? Ever used God's name wrongly? Have you ever had bad thoughts or used bad words?
Again, how will you be judged, innocent or guilty? Listen to your conscience! If you are normal like me, you know you will be guilty.
You will be at the judgment before Almighty God, creator of the entire Universe. You will either be...
• With Christ as your Savior, your Lord, and your Fine Payer having paid your sin fine , having taken the punishment you rightly deserve because of all you have done.
• Without Christ: will Christ look at you and say (as in Matthew 7.23) ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’ [Ten Commandments]
Hebrews 10.27 & 31 - 27 There is only the terrible expectation of God’s judgment and the raging fire that will consume his enemies. & verse 31 It is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Let me put it another way…
Are you close enough to Jesus, that He is your Savior and your Lord? 2 Peter 1:11 Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Do you belong to Christ? Romans 8.1 So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.
Are you crucified with Christ fully trusting Him alone? Galatians 2:20 My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself [gave His life taking our punishment for sins we have committed] for me.
Are you born again? John 3.3 Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.” [that is born by the Spirit of God through repentance and faith in Christ Jesus]
Is Christ Your Life? Colossians 3:4 And when Christ, who is your life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory.
Have you been made right with God? Do you have faith in and believe in Jesus Christ? Galatians 2:16 Yet we know that a person is made right with God by faith in Jesus Christ, not by obeying the law. And we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we might be made right with God because of our faith in Christ, not because we have obeyed the law. For no one will ever be made right with God by obeying the law.” Do you have faith in Christ alone?
Do you really believe? Ephesians 2.8-9 God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.
Titus 3.4-6 But—When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, he saved us (If you have repented and placed your faith and trust in Jesus Christ to save you from your sins and to make Him Lord), not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior.
Is the Spirit of God & Christ in you? Romans 8. 9 & 11 - 9 But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them do not belong to Him at all.) The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you (if Christ has saved you). And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you. (The Holy Spirit takes up residence in you once you have repented and are following Christ)
Romans 10.9 If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Declare Jesus is LORD and Believe!
Romans 10.13 For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Call on the LORD!
Make today the day of your Salvation! 2 Corinthians 6:2 For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.” Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation.
Are you Adopted by God? Ephesians 1:5 God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.
Become a friend and child of God. If you have repented and have trusted Christ and are trusting Christ through faith, you have entered into a born-again relationship with God through Christ.
Friend: Romans 5.11 So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.
Child: Galatians 3:26 For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
Child: 1 John 5:1 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has become a child of God.
Right Standing: Romans 5.21 So just as sin ruled over all people and brought them to death, now God’s wonderful grace rules instead, giving us right standing with God and resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Fellowship with God & Jesus: 1 John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us understanding so that we can know the true God. And now we live in fellowship with the true God because we live in fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life.
Please don’t go another day without Christ. Make today the day of your salvation so that you will have an Advocate and a friend of the court when your day in the court of judgment arrives.
1 John 2 My dear children, I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the one who is truly righteous. He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world. And we can be sure that we know him if we obey his commandments.
Repent and put your trust in Jesus Christ today. All your sins will be forgiven and God will grant you eternal life.
Do it today, please. You may not have another chance.
