Psalm Book 5

Psalm 107 1 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.2 Has the Lord redeemed you? Then speak out! Tell others he has redeemed you from your [sins] enemies.

32 Let them exalt him publicly before the congregation and before the leaders of the nation.

Psalm 108 1 My heart is confident in you, O God; no wonder I can sing your praises with all my heart!

3 I will thank you, Lord, among all the people. I will sing your praises among the nations.

4 For [Lord] your unfailing love is higher than the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.

5 Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens. May your glory shine over all the earth.

Psalm 109 30 But I will give repeated thanks to the Lord, praising him to everyone.

Psalm 110 1 The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit in the place of honor at my right hand until I humble your enemies, making them a footstool under your feet.”

4 For the Lord is high above the nations; his glory is higher than the heavens.

5 Who can be compared with the Lord our God, who is enthroned on high?

Psalm 114 7 Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob.

Psalm 116 4 Then I called on the name of the Lord: “Please, Lord, save me!” 

5 How kind the Lord is! How good he is! So merciful, this God of ours!

6 The Lord protects those of childlike faith; I was facing death, and he saved me.

7 Let my soul be at rest again, for the Lord has been good to me.

9 And so I walk in the Lord’s presence as I live here on earth!

13 I will lift up the cup of salvation and praise the Lord’s name for saving me.

Psalm 119 1 Joyful are people of integrity, who follow the instructions of the Lord.

2 Joyful are those who obey his laws and search for him with all their hearts.

5 Oh, that my actions would consistently reflect your decrees!

6 Then I will not be ashamed when I compare my life with your commands.

11 I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.

12 I praise you, O Lord; teach me your decrees.

36 Give me an eagerness for your laws rather than a love for money!

41  Lord, give me your unfailing love, the salvation that you promised me.

57 Lord, you are mine! I promise to obey your words!

65 You have done many good things for me, Lord,  just as you promised.

58 With all my heart I want your blessings. Be merciful as you promised.

89 Your eternal word, O Lord, stands firm in heaven.

Psalm 126 3 Yes, [You] the Lord has done amazing things for us! What joy!5 Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy.

6 They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest.

Psalm 128 1 How joyful are those who fear the Lord— all who follow his ways!

John 14.6 6 Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

John 16.33 33 I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

John 17.13 Jesus speaking ... I told them many things while I was with them in this world so they would be filled with my joy.

3 Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! No one can measure his greatness.4 Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power.

5 I will meditate on your majestic, glorious splendor and your wonderful miracles.

6 Your awe-inspiring deeds will be on every tongue; I will proclaim your greatness.

7 Everyone will share the story of your wonderful goodness; they will sing with joy about your righteousness.

8 The Lord is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.

15 The eyes of all look to you in hope; you give them their food as they need it.

16 When you open your hand, you satisfy the hunger and thirst of every living thing.

17 The Lord is righteous in everything he does; he is filled with kindness.

18 The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth.

Psalm 146.1 Praise the Lord! Let all that I am praise the Lord. 2 I will praise the Lord as long as I live. I will sing praises to my God with my dying breath. 

5 But joyful are those who have the God of Israel as their helper, whose hope is in the Lord their God.

10 The Lord will reign forever. He will be [my] {your} God {for all time}, O Jerusalem, throughout the generations.
